Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers: Election of Directors; appointment of Principal Officers.
James H. Holdrege, a Director on the Board for HickoryTech Corporation, has notified the Company of his resignation from the Board effective December 31, 2008. He will be retiring from the Board due to health reasons.
Mr. Holdrege, age 69, has served as a member of the HickoryTech Board since 1992.
