VRG Launches VARIGs New Visual Identity
Sao Paulo, October 23, 2007 GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. (NYSE: GOL and Bovespa: GOLL4), the parent company of Brazils low-cost airlines GOL Transportes Aéreos S.A. and VRG Linhas Aéreas S.A., today unveils the new visual identity of VARIG, the brand operated by VRG.
The initial changes in the Companys new visual identity are based on a new logo: orange surrounded by a strong blue with waves that simulate the aerodynamics of an airplane during flight. These lines also appear in the modern exterior design painted on the aircraft, on the cabin crews uniforms, and in all of VRGs airport terminals.
The transformation of VARIGs brand will also cater to passengers senses. On international routes, the Company created a new concept, Espaço Vita (Life Space), which offers customers more quality of life and an enhanced air travel experience. Following the Espaço Vita concept, friendly flight attendants will offer passengers selections from a specially-created menu with nutritious meal options as well as complimentary newspapers and magazines to increase their entertainment options and comfort. On domestic flights, passengers will be immersed in the Sabores e Aromas do Brasil (Tastes and Aromas of Brazil) a new in-flight service offering.
The new low-cost operating model adopted by the Company allows VRG to offer high standards of customer service at a lower cost. Passenger satisfaction is our main concern: 100% care, 0% excess, says Murilo Barbosa, VRGs Marketing Director.
VARIGs quality of service will extend beyond its passengers in the air. The Companys call center will provide customers on the ground with access to up-to-date information and the ability to purchase tickets more conveniently. Additionally, the VIP rooms at Rio de Janeiros Tom Jobim Airport, São Paulos Guarulhos Airport, Paranás Afonso Pena Airport, and Rio Grande do Suls Salgado Filho Airport are being remodeled to provide maximum convenience to VRGs passengers by 2008.
