Item 8.01. Other Events.

On December 2, 2005, United Bancshares, Inc. issued a release announcing that the Company’s Board of Directors has designated Brian D. Young, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, to additionally serve as the Company’s Executive Vice President. The Board of Directors also promoted Mr. Young from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President at The Union Bank Company, the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary.  A copy of the release (Exhibit 99.1) is attached.
