On February 9, 2009, Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V. (the Company) announced that Lasse
Petterson, 52, joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Mr. Petterson was Chief
Executive Officer of Gearbulk (UK) Limited, the worlds largest operator of gantry craned vessels,
and served from 2002 to 2006 as President and Chief Operating Officer of AMEC Inc. USA, a project
management engineering and construction company. From 1980 to 2002, he worked in various
international executive and operations assignments for Aker Kvaerner, serving as President of both
the Oil & Gas division and the Maritime division.
