New memoir "Dear Riley Rose" by Caroline Rose is released, the heartwarming true story of devastating illness, an abused dog, and how two lost souls saved each other through unconditional love

“Dear Riley Rose: The Story of a Woman and Her Dog… and How They Saved Each Other” by Caroline Rose has been released worldwide. This powerful 260-page memoir tells the inspiring, heartfelt story of the author and her rescue dog, Riley. After being diagnosed with incurable, aggressive stage IV cancer at the young age of twenty-seven, Caroline was sent reeling into a storm of fear, hardship, and uncertainty about the future. Battling for her life and seeking solace, an internet search for rescue dogs led the author to Riley, a one-year-old Great Dane/Labrador mix that had recently been saved from an abusive home. After seeing a photo and making an impulsive decision, Caroline’s world changed forever.

Throughout this beautiful memoir, Rose shares the ups and downs of her battle with cancer, the hilarious moments she shared with Riley, and the unshakeable bond they developed. Without shying away from her most difficult battles, Rose tells her story with levity and love, seeing her relationship with Riley as a central part of her journey – including overcoming the odds to beat cancer three times, withstanding bone marrow transplants, and finding the strength to live a life of joy.

While the book focuses on the author’s personal story, it is also a message of hope and comfort for readers from all walks of life. Acknowledging that every individual faces their own battles, Rose shows that with companionship, support, and the healing power of love, even the greatest challenges can be overcome. Her story celebrates the connection people share with dogs, who remain steadfast and loving during even our darkest moments. She shows that canine companions can truly heal, and that second chances are always available if we’re willing to fight for them.

Brimming with hopeful wisdom and providing strength for audiences of all kinds, this emotional and often hysterical book is one woman’s story of perseverance and loving connection that inspires the courage to face any obstacle head on.

Dear Riley Rose (ISBN: 9781963844115 / 9781963844108) can be purchased through retailers worldwide, including Barnes and Noble and Amazon. The hardcover retails for $27.99, the paperback retails for $17.95, and the ebook retails for $3.99. Review copies and interviews are available upon request.

From the back cover:

I’d like to tell you a story. It’s a fairy tale of sorts…

At the age of twenty-seven, Caroline Rose was in the best shape of her life when she was shockingly diagnosed with a highly aggressive, incurable, stage IV cancer.

At the age of one, Riley, a Great Dane/Labrador mix, was rescued from inhumane abuse. An Internet search of rescue dogs during Caroline’s first remission led her to a picture of a large, broken dog with empty eyes that resembled her own. One impulsive decision later, Riley became a Rose.

This is the story of two lost souls coming together as one and their journey through family, love, loss, pain, and hope.

Dear Riley Rose radiates the humor of Riley’s antics during even the toughest of times and illustrates the courage it takes for every being to rise up and choose life in the face of adversity.

Love heals us. Hope carries us. But is that enough for us to believe in a happy ending?
