Jun 7, 2023 - Hockley, TX - DRP Chemicals, a producer of a new type of biological wastewater treatment products, is searching for five wastewater treatment plants that are interested in taking part in their six-week free trial treatment.
The product being used in the trial is DRP Chemical’s DRP Accelerator™, their flagship commercial product. DRP Accelerator™ reduces solids in wastewater treatment systems (by up to 50%), eliminates odors to relative zero (you must be standing over it to smell it), and eliminates the production of harmful and corrosive H2S gas. The cost savings for wastewater management are potentially enormous in the area of reduced solids disposal and cleaning. Reducing H2S gas reduces odor and makes the area safer while also reducing the heavy corrosion to pumps, tanks, and equipment – greatly extending their lifecycles and significantly reducing capital expenditures.
DRP Accelerator™ is environmentally safe and non-toxic and is approved by NSF for use around food production. It is important to note that it is also not just a simple bacteria or enzyme treatment solution. The company calls it a bio-accelerator.
The free trial program is available for five systems in total. As of this update, 2 more slots are still available.
Trial Treatment Program Details
There is no cost to the participating treatment plants or operators. In exchange for the free treatment -- and the improvements it brings to their system -- they agree to openly provide metrics and measurements related to their system’s flow rate, solids, power use, odors, and H2S levels before, during, and after treatment. The results of the trial will be published in white papers and promotional materials.
“This is about metrics. We know the product works so there’s no question about that. This program is about documenting metrics before and after treatment with DRP Accelerator™ and publishing those results,” says Chris Denny, CEO of DRP Chemicals. He adds, “Any municipality or wastewater management company that has been struggling with organic solids control or with odor complaints should sign up for this program. DRP Accelerator™ can resolve those problems amazingly quickly.”
The ideal trial systems are municipal plants or lift stations in the United States with daily flow volumes of 500,000 gallons or less. Qualifying larger systems are also invited to participate. Municipal and livestock lagoon systems are also invited to be part of the program.
The systems must have a clear problem to solve. That is, they are combatting strong odor issues, dangerous H2S gas levels, organic solids control, or a combination of these.
