HITEC Welcomes 2024 Hall of Fame Inductees: Celebrating Technology Trailblazers

The Hispanic Technology Executive Council (HITEC) is pleased to announce Yamila Harris, Global Head of IT Support and User Experience for Munich Re and Jesus Mantas, Global Managing Partner at IBM as the 2024 inductees into the HITEC Hall of Fame.

“Jesus and Yamila are exceptional leaders and it’s a honor to welcome them to the HITEC Hall of Fame. Their visionary leadership and tireless efforts have not only propelled technological advancements but have also inspired countless individuals in our community. This honor reflects their outstanding achievements and unwavering commitment to excellence including our HITEC Mission and Vision,” said Rosa Ramos-Kwok, HITEC Chair. 

The induction ceremony will take place on October 24 during the HITEC Awards Gala, part of the HITEC Fall Leadership Summit hosted by Capital One in McClean, VA. 

Harris has been a dedicated member of HITEC since 2015. She has consistently showcased her commitment to the organization and its mission, winning the HITEC Member of the Year Award in 2021. Harris has been awarded the prestigious HITEC 100 award in 2016, 2018 – 2024, which spotlights Hispanic technology professionals who inspire and advocate for technology careers. She has also served as Co-Chair of the HITEC Advisory Board from 2018 to 2020 and currently sits on the HITEC Board of Directors. Harris’ impact within HITEC is evident through her strategic leadership, active participation in events, and her pivotal role in various committees and initiatives aimed at uplifting the HITEC community. 

Jesus Mantas has built a distinguished career in technology, with a long-standing track record of supporting and nurturing innovation. He has served on the HITEC Board of Directors since 2021. Mantas has been a passionate steward of the organization’s mission, leading in its strategic initiatives and spearheading the 2022 Fall Leadership Summit hosted at IBM. Mantas has been awarded the HITEC 100 several years in a row, from 2019 – 2023, and presented with the Estrella Award in 2022, a prestigious honor that recognizes an individual whose leadership, integrity, and dedication have contributed to the advancement of technology.
