Bay Area private equity firm True Wind Capital raises $525M in latest ‘blank check’ IPO

There have now been 93 IPOs by special purpose acquisition companies in a record year, raising nearly $37 billion, according to SPACInsider. Thirteen of them are led by investors from the Bay Area.
