Now On Kickstarter, Math Gloves, An Empowering Educational Resource

Now seeking community support via Kickstarter, hardware that helps people with disabilities learn math through vibrations and frequencies.

Carlos Osuna, an inventor and technology innovator, has announced an exciting new crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to support his latest innovation, Math Gloves. Powerful new hardware, Math Gloves help people with disabilities learn math through vibrations and frequencies in an integrated educational setting.

Inspired by work with deaf-blind children in Guatemala, Osuna set out to create an empowering educational tool that makes learning easier for those that cannot see or hear. A group of students often left with only their hands, difficulties developing verbal and mathematical reasoning skills quickly abound. Math Gloves, which teach mathematics through vibrations and frequencies, present a unique and viable solution to this problem. Early prototypes and processes have proven suitable and effective for people, including children and adults, with disabilities in individual and classroom-based settings.

Achieving software and hardware integration in early January 2020, teachers and students are finding the learning process to be faster and easier than ever before, increasing engagement and interaction. Students with Math Gloves no longer require one-to-one instruction, which helps restore the traditional classroom environment by making large-group classes easier to conduct. Teachers can teach students simultaneously and control the gloves by sending operations and numbers directly to a student’s hand. Teaching mathematics wirelessly and in real-time, the possibilities for learning are endless.

Technology will play an important role in reshaping education for the death-blind. Math Gloves are an educational experience like no other that harnesses the power of sensations and feelings in exciting new ways.
