Donna Gloe of Springfield, Missouri is recognized by the International Association of Who's Who with the Florence Nightingale Award of Nursing for her exemplary achievements within the field of Medical Education.

SPRINGFIELD, MO, October 29, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With over three decades of service to the healthcare sector, Donna Gloe is a highly experienced and distinguished Registered Nurse and Clinical Faculty. Now retired, Ms. Gloe is revered for her outstanding expertise across many areas of nursing including; education, simulation, medical/surgical, dialysis, informatics, and critical care.

Always keen to enter the field of healthcare, Ms. Gloe enrolled at St. John's College, attaining her Nursing Degree in 1983. She then went on study for her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Southwest Baptist University, before gaining her Master of Science Degree in Nursing Education from Missouri State University. Keen to further expand her knowledge, Ms. Gloe then achieved her Doctor of Health Care Education from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law.

After completing her studies, Ms. Gloe embarked on an impressive career which included positions as a Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Dialysis Registered Nurse, Clinical Documentation Analyst, Adjunct Faculty, Systems Change Manager, Knowledge Information Module (KIM) Manager, Education Director, Education Coordinator, Registered Nurse, and Staff & Charge RN. Her final position before retirement was Clinical Faculty within Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences of Southwest Baptist University in Springfield, Missouri, also affiliated with Mercy Hospital Springfield.

Over the course of her illustrious career, Ms. Gloe has received numerous accolades including the 'Top Tier of Excellence Lifetime Achievement Recognition' from Oxford Who's Who. Her work as also been published on numerous occasions; she is the respected author of Basics of Computers and Nursing Informatics Paperback (2001) and has written various articles including; Gloe, D., Kenneally, M., & Felicilda-Reynaldo, R.F. (2016). Medication therapy adjustments in patients with chronic renal failure for MEDSURG Nursing, Labrague, L., McEnroe-Petitte, D., & Gloe, D. A literature review on stress and coping strategies in nursing students for the Journal of Mental Health, Fey, M.K. Gloe, D.S., & Mariani, B. (2015), Assessing the quality of simulation-based research articles: A rating rubric for Clinical Simulation in Nursing, and Gloe, D.S. and Tivener, K. (2015) The effect of high-fidelity cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) simulation on athletic training student knowledge, confidence, emotions, and experiences, for Athletic Training Education. She attributes her many successes to her natural desire to always be the best she can be.

Keen to remain involved in her profession, Ms. Gloe retains membership to the American Medical Association, the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Now enjoying her retirement, Ms. Donna Gloe keeps busy by quilting, listening to music and volunteering for medical missions.
