State below in reasonable detail why Forms 10-K, 20-F, 11-K, 10-Q, 10-D, N-SAR, N-CSR, or the transition report or portion thereof, could not be filed within the prescribed time period.

Wuhan General Group (China), Inc. (the “Registrant”) is unable to file its Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 within the prescribed time period without unreasonable effort and expense because of the recent change in Chief Financial Officer of the Registrant and because of the unavailability of certain information that may materially affect the disclosure contained in the Report. The additional time is necessary to ensure the filing of a complete and accurate Form 10-Q. The Registrant fully expects to be able to file within the additional time allowed by this report.

However, the Registrant is still reviewing its financial statements for the first quarter of 2008. Therefore, the Registrant is not in a position at this time to provide any reasonable estimate of any anticipated significant changes in the results of operations for the three months ended March 31, 2008 compared to the three months ended March 31, 2007.
