Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

ADTRAN, Inc. announced today the retirement of its Senior Vice President, Global Services and Support, Raymond R. (Rick) Schansman. Mr. Schansman’s retirement as Senior Vice President, Global Services and Support was effective as of November 11, 2017. The Company also announced that the Board has elected Kevin P. Heering, currently Senior Vice President, Global Quality and Administration, to the position of Senior Vice President, Services and Support. Mr. Heering assumed these responsibilities upon the effectiveness of Mr. Schansman’s resignation and will work with Mr. Schansman in transitioning these responsibilities.
