Item 8.01 — Other Events.
As
previously reported in WESCO’s Annual Report on Form 10-K, WESCO is a defendant in a lawsuit in
a state court in Florida. On March 8, 2007, WESCO and the plaintiff agreed to a complete
settlement of the pending litigation. Under the terms of this
settlement, the parties released
all claims against the other in exchange for cash and other consideration. The net impact of this
settlement, including professional fees, on WESCO’s first quarter net income after tax is
estimated to be approximately $4.0 million.
