DESCRIPTION:
For the seventh year in a row, Merck has been recognized on the Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion list — and for the fourth straight year, Merck has received a score of 100% on the Disability Equality Index (DEI).
The DEI, developed by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN, is a national benchmarking tool that offers businesses an opportunity to self-report their disability and inclusion policies and practices. The 2021 DEI measured a number of areas, including culture and leadership, enterprise-wide access, employment practices, community engagement, supplier diversity and non-U.S. operations.
“We are thrilled to be recognized for the work we have done to cultivate a disability-confident workplace where everyone is welcome and can fully participate,” says Celeste Warren, vice president, global diversity and inclusion. “While we celebrate this honor and our accomplishments in the area of disability inclusion, we will continue to challenge ourselves do more.”
