DermTech Appoints Bret Christensen as New President and CEO

DermTech, Inc. (NASDAQ: DMTK) (“DermTech” or the “Company”), a leader in precision dermatology enabled by a non-invasive skin genomics platform, today announced the appointment of Bret Christensen, previously chief commercial officer of Insulet, as president, chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors (the board). Mr. Christensen succeeds Dr. John Dobak, who stepped down as president, chief executive officer and a director of the board.

Mr. Christensen said, “I am excited to be leading the DermTech team. DermTech has an opportunity to transform dermatology with its revolutionary technology, strong demand and building momentum with commercial payers. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Christensen served as chief commercial officer of Insulet from May 2017 to May 2023 where he oversaw sales growth from approximately $367 million to $1.1 billion. Mr. Christensen has extensive experience in successfully scaling novel diagnostic companies and securing reimbursement with various types of payers. From August 2013 to May 2017, Mr. Christensen served as general manager of Preventive Care at Myriad Genetics, Inc. Prior to Myriad Genetics, Mr. Christensen held several executive positions at Hologic, Inc., including vice president of sales and marketing of its Gynecologic Surgical Products division. Prior to Hologic, Mr. Christensen led key market development and sales teams at Cytyc Corporation. Mr. Christensen earned a B.S. in business management from Utah Valley University and an MBA from the University of Utah.
