Pacific Retail Capital Partners Launches ‘M-All Hands on Deck’ Campaign to Support Disaster Relief and Charitable Causes

First activation to be held at PRCP’s Raleigh, North Carolina property to raise funds and awareness for those communities impacted by Hurricane Helene

Series of fundraising activities planned through holiday season to benefit several non-profit humanitarian organizations

Pacific Retail Capital Partners (“PRCP” or the “Company”), one of the nation's premier retail operating groups, today announced the launch of its 'M-All Hands on Deck' campaign, a comprehensive initiative designed to support communities in need across the country. PRCP has selected several widely-respected non-profit humanitarian organizations who are actively involved in disaster relief efforts to serve as the beneficiaries of all funds raised this year.

The campaign’s inaugural activation will be focused on providing critical assistance to those affected by Hurricane Helene and will be spearheaded by Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, North Carolina. This devastating storm was one of the most impactful natural disasters to ever make landfall in the United States, striking the Southeast and devastating parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. Hurricane Helene battered or destroyed numerous vibrant and close-knit communities, leaving thousands in need of immediate support and long-term rebuilding coordination. The damage was estimated by CoreLogic to be between $30.5 billion and $47.5 billion, making it one of the deadliest and most destructive storms on record.

Moreover, PRCP anticipates those communities that are in Hurricane Milton’s direct path will need support and resources in order to rebuild and recover from this once-in-a-lifetime storm, which is expected to equal or exceed the value of damage caused by Hurricane Helene. As such, the Company anticipates a portion of the proceeds raised from the ‘M-All Hands on Deck’ campaign will be earmarked for those communities that are impacted by Hurricane Milton.

“As a community-centric organization, it is ingrained in our DNA to do all we can for those we serve, and when catastrophic events like Hurricanes Helene and Milton come along and alter life as we know it, our hearts truly ache,” said Najla Kayyem, EVP of Marketing for PRCP. “Especially in challenging periods like this, where devastation, loss of life, and destruction are insurmountable, we have an obligation to help our communities rebuild and return to a sense of normalcy as quickly as possible. A massive undertaking like this requires widespread support and contributions, which is why we are calling for ‘M-All Hands on Deck.’ We encourage anyone who can get involved to do so by contributing to this campaign or by spreading the word to make the largest impact.”

PRCP's commitment to raise funds and awareness for Hurricanes Helene and Milton will continue throughout the 2024 holiday season. Crabtree Valley Mall, located within a few hours' drive of several of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Helene, has designed a tailored schedule of events and activities that are intended to generate proceeds and increase visibility for the relief efforts being undertaken by these humanitarian aid organizations.

The planned activities at Crabtree include hosting a concert and silent auction where a portion of proceeds are directed to Hurricane Helene relief; organizing a ‘M-All Hands’ art walk fundraiser, where local artists come together to paint artwork that is auctioned off; displaying a ‘M-All Hands’ giving wall that provides information about ways to get involved and make an impact; coordinating character meet-and-greets and special guest appearances that are donation-based; contributing a portion of proceeds from holiday photos with Santa to relief efforts; and, posting signage and messaging throughout the property to generate widespread awareness and support.

PRCP will also promote the ‘M-All Hands on Deck’ campaign at each property in its portfolio through signage visible in common areas communicating how to get involved and where to contribute. In addition, the Company will also donate a portion of the proceeds from the planned events it is hosting across the country to support this cause and make a corporate-level donation to help further amplify the impact of the campaign.
