CNP Investors Have Opportunity to Join CenterPoint Energy, Inc. Fraud Investigation with the Schall Law Firm

The Schall Law Firm, a national shareholder rights litigation firm, announces that it is investigating claims on behalf of investors of CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (“CenterPoint” or “the Company”) (NYSE: CNP) for violations of the securities laws.

The investigation focuses on whether the Company issued false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose information pertinent to investors. Hurricane Beryl left about 2.2 million CenterPoint customers without power in early July. Nearly a week after the storm, many customers still lacked power. Texas Governor Greg Abbott focused on the Company in a July 14, 2024, press conference in which he demanded an investigation of its actions around Hurricane Beryl. Among other allegations, Abbott stated that the Company failed to have "an adequate number of workers pre-staged" before the storm hit. Based on this news, shares of CenterPoint fell by more than 6.6% on July 15, 2024.
