Freelance Editorial Group in Baltimore for SciFi Fantasy Convention

BALTIMORE - May 16, 2022 - PRLog -- The Editorial Freelancers Association will be at Balticon: Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention May 27 – 30 in Baltimore. Stop by our booth to introduce yourself and learn more about the benefits of EFA membership or about hiring the right freelancer for your project through our Member Directory and Job List!

"We are thrilled to be part of Balticon," says Amy Spungen, EFA Events chairperson. "Many of our editors specialize in science fiction and fantasy, some of us write in these genres, and our members represent lots of fandoms!"

From cosplay to filking, Balticon will have something for everyone. The convention will be held at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel and is expecting to host more than 1,500 fans this year. Convention-goers will enjoy events featuring authors, publishers, live-streamers, and tech innovators.

Founded in 1970, the Editorial Freelancers Association is a national nonprofit professional organization with approximately 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators, and others who work in publishing, communications, and related fields.

The EFA has garnered praise from publishing pros like Jane Friedman and Louise Harnby and is frequently listed as a valuable resource for authors on sites including Poets & Writers, BookBub, Publishers Weekly, Poynter, and the Chicago Manual of Style blog.

EFA Mission

The EFA advances excellence among our dynamic community of freelance editorial professionals by providing opportunities for business development, learning, and networking. Our resources help our members and their clients build successful collaborations.

"The Editorial Freelancers Association just might be the book publishing industry's most powerful secret weapon …" – Publishers Weekly
