Nexa3D Leadership Expansion

Already known for its industry-leading 3D printing technology, Nexa3D has also been focused on expanding its passionate team of experts. This summer, the company began a targeted recruitment campaign that has been yielding excellent results, drawing top talent to the team. Recruitment remains a priority as Nexa3D looks to continue to expand its capabilities with a diverse and experienced team.

Four well-known leaders have recently joined the Nexa3D team, strengthening the company’s positioning in technical, sales, and marketing activities.

Dr. Mehdi Mojdeh joined Nexa3D in September as the Vice President of Engineering. Mojdeh is a 3D printing technology development expert with over 20 years of relevant technical and leadership experience. He was instrumental in the development of several 3D printing technologies at 3D Systems and he later joined Align Technology where he worked in the development of 3D printing technologies and their applications. He is an expert in several 3D printing technologies including Inkjet, DLP, SLA, and SLS with deep understanding of different technology subsystems and 3D process development.

Michael Currie, the new Vice President, General Manager Desktop Business Unit, joined Nexa3D in November 2021. Currie’s leadership of the new Desktop business unit starts with the launch of the XiP, an ultrafast polymer desktop 3D printer. He brings years of experience leading new product launches and go-to-market initiatives across the tech sector while holding leadership positions across sales and marketing roles. Prior to Nexa3D, he was VP of Marketing and Revenue Operations at Gecko Robotics, the Head of Direct Sales for North America at Formlabs, and the Global Director of Sales Engineering and Customer Sales at HubSpot. Currie holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MS in EECS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Nina Swienton has been appointed as the new Chief Marketing Officer at Nexa3D, beginning her tenure in November 2021. Swienton is a senior marketing executive with 20 years of experience in building brands, driving demand, and accelerating growth for technology and software-based B2B companies. She has developed and executed strategic go-to-market plans that delivered double digit revenue growth for companies ranging from private equity carve-outs to scaleups and high-growth public corporations. Prior to joining Nexa3D, Swienton was a Vice President of Marketing at Protolabs where she led product marketing, branding, and demand generation efforts for seven years. During her tenure, the company grew from $200M to $450M in annual revenues. Swienton holds a BA in Marketing and an Executive MBA from the University of St. Thomas.

Melissa Hanson joined Nexa3D in November 2021 as the Vice President, Product Marketing and Management. Hanson is a full-stack marketing leader with over 15 years of experience driving high growth for manufacturing technology and SaaS companies by bringing to bear functional expertise in product management and positioning, branding, content strategy, and demand generation. She served as the Head of Marketing for Stratasys' Americas region until 2017, where during her tenure she significantly increased marketing's contribution to the overall business by implementing new and effective go-to-market strategies for the company's 3D printers, materials, and part services while also leading several M&A integrations. As Vice President of Marketing for Trimble's Transportation sector, she spearheaded a major performance marketing transformation resulting in increased marketing-sourced ARR.
