Flock Freight®, a technology company that is creating a smarter, more sustainable supply chain using patented technology, today announced it will be promoting Chief Strategy Officer Chris Pickett to the newly-added Chief Operations Officer (COO) role. “Chris has already proven himself to be a valuable addition to Flock’s leadership team since coming in as Chief Strategy Officer last July,” said Oren Zaslansky, Flock Freight CEO and Founder. “We’ve set ambitious goals for this company, and I am confident that Chris will continue to be an outstanding leader for the Flock team as we deliver on our promise to pool more freight using our shared truckload technology.”

Pickett, who first joined Flock as Chief Strategy Officer in July of 2021, has over 20 years of commercial experience operating at the intersection of global supply chain management, technology innovation, and transportation market economics. Chris brings a rare combination of industry expertise and creativity, plus a track record of leading high-growth organizations as an incoming COO. After spending his early career in distribution network design and software development and implementation, he joined the early leadership team at Coyote Logistics soon after the organization’s inception in 2006. Chris was a key contributor to Coyote’s legendary rise to $2 billion in global revenue before acquisition by UPS in 2015, as well as its subsequent doubling in size to become the second-largest U.S. truckload (TL) freight broker by 2020. Along the way, he also earned degrees in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, and Business Administration from Virginia Tech, MIT, and Georgia Tech, respectively.

“Flock Freight is the only company in the world using patented technology to pool freight at scale," said Chris Pickett. “In an industry ready for innovation, I am excited to take on this new role and continue to prove the value of our shared truckload services to both our carriers and our shippers.”
