Tech-driven executive with multinational expertise to enhance the Institute's focus on international insights and research

Diligent, the global leader in modern governance providing SaaS solutions across governance, risk, compliance and ESG, is pleased to announce that Colin Low, an experienced independent board director, has joined the Advisory Board of the Diligent Institute, Diligent’s think tank and research arm.

Since its inception in 2018, Diligent Institute has grown its Advisory Board to include a diverse range of insights and expertise from multiple industries to identify global best practices and empower modern governance. Low’s appointment brings added multinational experiences and expertise to Diligent Institute as the governance think tank looks to expand globally and incorporate more international voices and perspectives into its Advisory Board.

Low serves as a Board member for AET Tankers, Kacific Group Satellites, Jason Marine Group and as the Senior Advisor and Board Director Asia for BLG Capital. He was previously the Chairman for Intraco Ltd., the Singapore Investment Development Corporation and a member of the National Board of Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Colin has more than 25 years of international experience in the Asia-Pacific region. He has worked in financial services, private equity investments, infrastructure and industrial technologies, including energy, oil and gas, renewables, aviation, healthcare and real estate. Low was previously the President & Region Growth Executive of GE (ASEAN) and the investment board director of GE’s investment-holding company for the Asia-Pacific region. He is currently a Fellow of both the Hong Kong and Singapore Institute of Directors.

"I am very excited to join Diligent Institute's Advisory Board and work alongside a diverse range of industry leaders to expand Diligent Institute’s international reach and presence," said Low. “Research groups like the Diligent Institute are instrumental in providing directors and executive teams with the insights they need to govern effectively in a climate change-focused and ESG-centric world. With access to more corporate boardrooms than any company in the world, Diligent is uniquely situated to improve governance practices worldwide. I’m thrilled to be a part of this global mission.”

"We are delighted to have Colin Low join us as the newest member of the Diligent Institute Advisory Board," added Dottie Schindlinger, Executive Director of the Diligent Institute. "He brings a wealth of experiences and insights in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as expertise spanning across several industries, from finance and aviation to energy and healthcare. We know he will usher in fresh perspectives on technology, modern governance and the need for diversity on boards.”
