The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of California (“Molina”), recently presented $395,000 to Social Work Action Group (SWAG) to help address homelessness in Lake Elsinore and surrounding areas.

This grant is the latest in MolinaCares’ efforts focused on homelessness in southern California. In 2022, MolinaCares partnered with Healthcare in Action (HIA) to expand health care, help treat substance use, and provide mental health services to unhoused older adults in San Diego and L.A. Counties.

MolinaCares and HIA are teaming up again, joined by SWAG and the City of Elsinore, to support the homeless population in Lake Elsinore through a host of programs and initiatives, such as mobile medical services, health education, and coordination of care by case managers.

The funds from the most recent MolinaCares grant will support SWAG programs that serve as resources to homeless communities, including SWAG’s dedicated software application and respite care programs.
