RRD President and CEO Thomas J. Quinlan III to be Honored at the Third Annual Soldiers to Sidelines Legacy of Leadership Dinner

R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company (RRD), a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions, today announced that Thomas J. Quinlan III, President and Chief Executive Officer of RRD, will be an honoree at the 2024 Soldiers to Sidelines Legacy of Leadership Dinner.

In its third year, the Legacy of Leadership Dinner by Soldiers To Sidelines (STS) – a non-profit veteran service organization – honors three influential leaders each year for their legacy in coaching, the military, and business. This year’s coaching honoree is two-time Super Bowl Champion coach of the N.Y. Giants, Tom Coughlin and the military honoree is Medal of Honor Recipient, Thomas “Pat” Payne. The funds raised from the event provide free coaching certification and coaching opportunities for service members, veterans, military spouses, and gold star families developing the future leaders of our country.

“I am incredibly humbled to be an honoree at the third annual STS Legacy of Leadership Dinner. I share this recognition with all of the employees, clients, and partners that have entrusted RRD with their own legacy,” said Tom Quinlan, President and Chief Executive Officer of RRD. “We’re proud to support STS in their mission to educate, develop, and certify members of the military community in order to shape the next generation of leaders.”

Quinlan adds, “At RRD, we believe that veterans make outstanding employees; ingrained in ethics and integrity they provide our organization with great discipline, a strong work ethic, and leadership skills.”

“Tom Quinlan sets the standard of character-based leadership in the business community and the sports world. As a corporate executive and former basketball coach, he represents the values that our soldier coaches will bring to their communities as they continue to serve our country as a coach,” said Harrison Bernstein, Executive Director and Founder, Soldiers to Sidelines. “Tom has been an active part of our growth and success and we are proud to have him and RR Donnelley on our team.”

Approximately 200,000 men and women leave the U.S. Military each year, and roughly 44% of those making the transition to life as a civilian leave their first job within a year and another 21% after the second year. At the same time, 70% of today’s youth stop playing sports by the age of 13 because of a lack of quality coaches.

Dedicated to educating, certifying, developing, and supporting members of the military community to become expert coaches and exemplary role models, STS provides veterans, service members, and military spouses with a renewed sense of purpose of serving their community.

The 2024 Legacy of Leadership Dinner will be held at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC on Monday, February 26, 2024. Past honorees have included: Coach Nick Saban, Steve Cannon, Col. (ret.) Greg Gadson, Coach Dick Vermeil, Gen. (ret.) George Casey, and Jimmy Reyes.
