For Third Consecutive Year, Ethisphere Names NW Natural Holdings as One of the 2024 World's Most Ethical Companies®

Annual recognition highlights organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to business integrity through robust ethics, compliance, and governance programs

NW Natural Holdings, an Oregon company including a regulated natural gas distribution company (NW Natural), water and wastewater utilities (NW Natural Water), a renewable fuels business (NW Natural Renewables) and other business interests, received the 2024 World’s Most Ethical Companies® recognition by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.

In total, 136 honorees were recognized this year, spanning 20 countries and 44 industries. NW Natural Holdings has now been recognized three consecutive years since 2022 and is one of only eight honorees in the Energy & Utilities category.

“We recently celebrated our 165th anniversary at NW Natural and throughout our history, we’ve worked hard to do things the right way. This recognition is much appreciated and it’s a reflection of the integrity and good work by our employees throughout our company,” said David H. Anderson, CEO of NW Natural Holdings. “We are very proud to receive this honor for the third consecutive year.”

“This award means a great deal to our employees, because it’s our employees who made it possible by living our core value of integrity in how they serve our customers, operate our business, treat each other, and engage with the community,” said Shawn M. Filippi, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary at NW Natural Holdings. “It’s a privilege to be able to share our appreciation for this honor on my colleagues’ behalf.”

“It’s always inspiring to recognize the World’s Most Ethical Companies®. Through the rigorous review process, we see the dedication of these organizations to continually improving their ethics, compliance, and governance practices to the benefit of all stakeholders,” said Erica Salmon Byrne, Ethisphere’s Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Chair. “Companies that elevate best-in-class cultures of ethics and integrity set a standard for corporate citizenship for their peers and competitors to follow. Congratulations to NW Natural Holdings for achieving this honor and demonstrating that strong ethics is good business.”
