Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia, 10th Jul 2023 – Global Bike Explorer Sdn Bhd, a renowned adventure company, is thrilled to unveil the upcoming Ekspedisi Perpaduan Watikah Kemerdekaan 66 London-Kuala Lumpur 2023 together with Quantum Metal. This extraordinary motorcycle expedition coincides with the 66th Merdeka Day celebrations in Malaysia on August 31st, 2023. It aims to honor the historic journey of Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, who courageously brought the Malayan Declaration of Independence from London to Kuala Lumpur in 1957.

Led by the esteemed CEO of Global Bike Explorer Sdn Bhd, Mr. Arep Kulal, the expedition embarks on a daring 66-day adventure, traversing 66 cities in 16 countries, covering an impressive total distance of nearly 22,000 kilometers. The primary objective is to retrace the footsteps of Tunku Abdul Rahman and experience the hardships he encountered during his momentous voyage.

Commencing on June 20 in London, the Ekspedisi Perpaduan Watikah Kemerdekaan 66 London-Kuala Lumpur 2023 promises to be an awe-inspiring journey. As the participants venture through diverse landscapes and engage with various cultures, they will foster strong bonds of unity and solidarity among themselves and the people they meet along the way.

Originally scheduled to commence last year in conjunction with the 65th Merdeka Day, the expedition faced unforeseen challenges when Myanmar’s borders closed. As a result, the event was postponed to this year, presenting an even more meaningful opportunity to join the 66th Merdeka Day parade in Kuala Lumpur.

The significance of this unprecedented expedition from London to Kuala Lumpur cannot be overstated. Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, wholeheartedly supports the event, recognizing its role in nurturing patriotism within Malaysian society. Minister Tengku Zafrul remarks, “This program aims to showcase the arduous struggles undertaken by our past leaders through a long and challenging journey, serving as a source of inspiration for our youth.”

The Superbikers Association Malaysia, the largest motorcycle association in the country, proudly stands behind this extraordinary expedition. Notably, Dato Lim Khong Soon, founder of Quantum Metal Review and a leading sponsor, has made significant contributions to bring this remarkable undertaking to life.

To commemorate the nation’s Independence Day, the Ekspedisi Perpaduan Watikah Kemerdekaan 66 London-Kuala Lumpur 2023 will distribute 5,000 souvenirs in the form of flag-shaped keychains and iconic buildings representing Malaysia to the public at each stop along the route. This initiative seeks to instill a sense of national pride and engage the public in the spirit of the occasion.

The participants of the Ekspedisi Perpaduan Watikah Kemerdekaan 66 London-Kuala Lumpur 2023 eagerly anticipate embarking on this extraordinary journey. They are excited to create lasting memories and share their experiences upon their return to Malaysia.
