Renowned author Tawnee Chasny examines themes of identity and recollection in “Carlton: Downsized,” a remarkable book for readers who enjoy a good thrill and moving drama.

Author Donna Chasny, who writes under the penname Tawnee Chasny, is the tale of a young fellow who awakens with no recollection of his identity in “Carlton: Downsized.”

Carlton, after ten years of employment, gets his job terminated after a larger firm has bought their company. The firm calls it “downsizing”, however the reality stays the same no matter how his employers call it: he is now without a job.

Carlton has been given despicable extra cash towards retirement and had junked any penalties for early withdrawal of his 401K savings plan. With such an insipid life now, Carlton decides to sell all that he has. Afterward, he gets on his Honda 750 with items stuffed into his camping backpack and drives off towards Washington, where he desires to visit his family and check out what life is yet to offer.

So far, it was a fun journey for Carlton as he was able to stop in areas he wanted to and relish the breathtaking western coast. Carlton had sojourned in public camping spits and dozed under the stars. During his trip, Carlton decided to stop for a sandwich and get some alcohol before staying in for the night. This is the moment where his life does a complete turn-around.

Carlton encounters four men inside the bar who had just fled from a maximum-security prison. The men had looted a store, taken some money as well as the owner’s granddaughter. The leader of the criminals has done many unspeakable things, such as rape, some stealing, and experimental drugs in the store.

The dangerous men then feed Carlton with pieces of mystical advice as a solution to his current life challenges. Moments later, he is unaware that he is trapped in a series of hallucinations and fights with a lack of recollection afterward. As the puzzle continues to unfold, the gang’s leader is out to find out if Carlton is dead or alive.

Before retirement, author Donna Chasny was a skills lecturer at an aerospace company. The Naval Weapons Center in China Lake, California, taught her to train and certify assemblers, inspectors, and planners to reference and use top-level and high-reliability systems installed by military specifications to produce electronic assemblies operated in military applications.

Donna Chasny wrote two outstanding books under her name, Carlton: Down Sized and Ting!: The Silent Warning. While her period on earth has passed, Donna’s loving memory, impact, and character remain to live on through her life partner and accounts.

Those who want to grab a copy of “Carlton: Down Sized” may purchase it on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Readers can also check out Donna Chasny’s website for more information about the author.
