Dr. Noor Ameen Roomi, Physician at Emerson Hospital, was recently selected for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for 2023 given by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the healthcare industry.
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor, only a few members are chosen for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. These special honorees are distinguished based on their longevity in their fields, their contributions they have made to society and the impact they have had on their industries.
With over four decades of experience in Internal Medicine, Dr. Roomi is being recognized as a Lifetime Achievement Awardee because she has proven herself as extraordinary and an expert in the field. She is board-certified in internal medicine. Women's health, pulmonary medicine, and cardiovascular medicine. Although Dr. Roomi joined Emerson Internal Medicine in Concord's John Cuming Building of Emerson Hospital recently, she is a twenty-year veteran of primary care in the Concord area.
Before Dr. Ameen Roomi began her professional career path, Dr. Roomi, a native of Iraq, earned a medical degree from the University of Baghdad College of Medicine. She completed residencies at the Boston Medical Center and the Boston Veterans Administration Medical Center in 2001.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Roomi has received many awards and accolades for her outstanding roles and commitment to the medical field. This year she is being considered to be featured in T.I.P. (Top Industry Professionals Magazine (Top Industry Professional) Magazine and will be honored as Top Doctor of the Year for 2023 as well as the Prestigious Lifetime Achievement award by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) at our annual award gala in December later this year. The American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Association are among Dr. Roomi's professional affiliations. Since 2018, she has served as president of the Mandaean Medical Professionals Association, a group of physicians who follow the Mandaean religion, which originated in what is now Iraq.
Looking back, Dr. Roomi attributes her success to her lifelong dream of being a doctor since she was a child. Because she loves helping patients, Dr. Roomi maintains that she doesn't consider being a doctor a "job." In the future, she plans to continue to thrive in her practice at Emerson Hospital and be more active in medical education.
