You Can Nominate The Next Family To Be Honored
Potomac, Maryland Jul 6, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - John Baranik, along with Major League Fishing, is looking to give back and honor those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
"As a veteran and coming from a family with a long military history, giving back to the military community is a priority for me."
- John Baranik, Professional Angler for Major League Fishing
As the first Gold Star child to be honored this season, David Morgan joined John Baranik on stage at the MLF Toyota Series Tournament on the Potomac River. David Morgan is a high school graduate that will soon be departing to the United States Army Airborne School, following in his father's footsteps in serving our country. His father passed away when David was young from service-related cancer. David fondly remembers fishing with his father and has recently rediscovered his love of fishing.
"I am truly honored to have a small part in carrying on the legacy of the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom."

You can nominate a Gold Star child to be John Baranik's special guest on the weigh-in stage and take part in a special day together fishing and honoring their lost family member. The child will place a Gold Star decal with their loved one's name on his patriotic boat to honor them for the rest of the season and will also receive a special gift package from John's sponsors.
Any surviving child regardless of age, of a service member who gave their life while on active duty or from an active duty-related illness, incident, or suicide would qualify to be a part of his Gold Star program.
