Sibley Dolman Gipe is investigating claims after recall of breathing machines and ventilators in latest medical nightmare

Phillips is recalling millions of breathing devices and mechanical ventilators

CLEARWATER, Fla. - July 26, 2021 - (Newswire.com)

Time, and time again, you hear the famous words - "if you or a loved one…" - and have heard the many horror stories that often follow. Unfortunately, this rings true once again as Phillips, the longtime Dutch medical equipment company, is recalling millions of breathing devices and mechanical ventilators, both Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure (Bi-Level PAP), and Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), most of which are DreamStation products, over cancer concerns.

The recall is specific to a polyester-based, polyurethane foam part that was used to aid in sound reduction. It was determined that the foam can degrade and become toxic when not cleaned properly or if exposed to high temperatures and humidity. This in turn can put users at risk of cancer and several other health issues. Although Phillips has stated that there have been no reports of deaths, they have acknowledged the potential harm the chemical exposure can cause.

Sibley Dolman Gipe Accident Injury Lawyers, P.A., a Florida based personal injury law firm with a national reputation, has been encouraging any individuals or their loved ones that have used the Phillips DreamStation products and are experiencing health complications as a result, to contact them immediately for a free consultation. Such individuals may be entitled to compensation for the harm caused.

"In situations like these, the last thing you want to do is wait until it becomes too late," said Matthew Dolman, Esq., Managing Partner in the firm and seasoned veteran when it comes to complex litigation. "It's at no cost to the individual. The consultation is free so, the only thing you have to lose is by failing to act accordingly in a timely manner and not seeking professional, expert legal advice if you've used or have been exposed to these products," said Dolman.

Currently, Sibley Dolman Gipe is accepting clients who meet the qualifications of the lawsuit and urge individuals to keep a close eye on the news and watch for any updates to follow.
