U.S. home builders less optimistic due to high inflation and supply woes

Rising inflation and persistent shortages of key supplies slightly dimmed the optimism of home builders early in the new year. Higher mortgage rates could also act as a drag if they continue to rise and make it harder for people to afford to buy a home.
