After twenty-some years as a software manager, I finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up. A writer. I’ve always loved reading and I’ve found my second love in writing. I always love a book with plot twists, so you’ll find plenty of those in the books I write. If I’m not reading or writing, I’m playing video games or watching the SF Giants. I’m kind of an empty nester. My son and stepson are out and living their lives. However, my husband and I live in a house full of cats and dogs. This is the Book One of Eight books Barstow has authored in this series. The book was written to Introduce Dante, President of the MC Demon Dawgs. There’s also particular excitement about this launch because it is a new Romantic Suspense series filled with strong men and women living their lives their way.
Dante’s Demons sets its main focus on Dante, the President of Demon Dawgs and Dr. Tallulah Chambers. When a serial killer is loose in San Diego he makes the mistake of dumping his latest victim, a beautiful and innocent girl, at the backdoor of the Demon Dawg clubhouse. To save the girl, Dante and his club kidnap the girl’s sister, Dr. Tallulah Chambers. What Dante doesn’t expect is to fall in love with the stunning doctor. But first he and his men need to find a killer and end him. The book’s cover art was created by 100 Covers.
K.L. Barstow has a background in software development. She chucked it all to achieve her ultimate goal of becoming an author. While she’s always loved to read and enjoyed writing, the dream of becoming a published author was always that, a dream. Until she finally decided to quit ignoring the characters in her head and share their stories with others.
When asked about why she wrote the book, Barstow said: “When a character wants to be heard, there’s no stopping their voice.”
Barstow has hopes that the book will enthrall the reader so they fall in love with Dante, Tally, and a club full of bikers who won’t tolerate abuse against the innocent. K.L. Barstow recognized that each member of the club has their own story and can’t wait to share their stories.
In a recent interview, the author made a point of thanking her husband for his support while she changed careers. But also thanked all the self-published authors before her who provided a roadmap. But also gave a big thanks: “To all of those working in the medical field. You are our heroes. Thank you for your selflessness, strength and dedication.”
