Kashmir Soap Joins Eco-Soap to Provide Hygiene Products to Developing Nations

Owner and operator of Kashmir Soap, Sylvana Householder, joins Eco-Soap Bank through the Scrap Pack program to provide soap and other hygiene products to children in developing countries.

Hampstead, United States - March 16, 2023 /PressCable/

Owner and operator of Kashmir Soap, Sylvana Householder, joins Eco-Soap Bank through the Scrap Pack program to provide soap and other hygiene products to children in developing countries. With every purchase, Kashmir Soap donates to Eco-Soap Bank. Donations are both monetary and soap scraps left over from the soap-making process.

Eco-Soap Bank was founded in 2014 to provide soap to the developing world by saving and sanitizing leftover soap from manufacturers. The humanitarian and environmental non-profit organization fights the spread of preventable illnesses caused by a lack of access to soap and other basic hygiene products. The organization is also committed to reducing the waste generated by the production of soap.

Eco-Soap Bank focuses its mission on children to give parents peace of mind that their children are free from preventable diseases. In some parts of the developing world, only 1% of households have soap suitable for handwashing. Since 2014, more than 3.5 million people have been provided with soap and hygiene education by Eco-Soap Bank.

Soap companies like Kashmir Soap donate their soap scraps, bevels, shavings, and bad batches to Eco-Soap Bank to be converted into bars of soap for children in developing countries. These companies also give monetary donations to fund hygiene education programs across 25 countries and support the employment of over 150 women in Africa and Asia.

Charity has always been part of the philosophy and mission of Kashmir Soap, so joining Eco-Soap Bank and the Scrap Pack was a natural choice for Householder. “We want people to know that by purchasing Kashmir products, they are helping people in need of basic sanitary supplies,” Householder said of her decision to become a brand partner with Eco-Soap Bank.

Kashmir Soap is a soap and personal care company based in Hampstead, NH, founded in 2022. Owner and operator Sylvana Householder uses all-natural ingredients to make handcrafted soaps and other personal care products in small batches.
