By: PRLog

This CME Symposium takes place on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM ET during the 2024 Heart Failure Management Conference (HFMC) at the Omni Amelia Island in Fernandina Beach, Florida in the Amelia Ballroom 1 & 2.

HAZLET, N.J. - June 13, 2024 - PRLog -- In this educational initiative, the current definition and clinical impact of WHF will be described, and principles of management explained. A panel discussion with WHF experts will provide practical guidance for diagnosing WHF, using GDMT in patients with worsening HFrEF, identifying patients for consideration of additional therapy, and strategies for utilizing additional medications in "real-world" practice.

The educational objectives include:

  • Recognize the current definition of worsening heart failure and its adverse outcomes
  • Describe best practices for using quadruple GDMT for patients with worsening HFrEF
  • Interpret evidence for additional therapies on top of quadruple GDMT for the treatment of patients with recent WHF
  • Explain optimal strategies for the management of worsening HFrEF
